Delete Your Account & Data

Last updated: 5 October 2026

DogiGram is an open-source Telegram client and does not run its own servers. Your account and messages live on Telegram's infrastructure, so deleting your account means deleting your Telegram account. Below are the ways to remove your account and any data stored on your device.

Heads up: Deleting your Telegram account is permanent and cannot be undone. It removes your messages, groups you created, contacts, and all data linked to your account from Telegram — across every Telegram app, not just DogiGram.

Option A — Delete your account from inside DogiGram

Open Settings

Launch DogiGram, open the side menu from the top-left corner, and tap Settings.

Privacy and Security

Tap Privacy and Security.

Delete My Account

Scroll to Delete my account → If away for…. You can set automatic deletion after a period of inactivity, or proceed to delete now.

Confirm

Follow the prompts to confirm. Once confirmed, your account and its data are permanently removed from Telegram.

Option B — Delete your account on Telegram's website

You can also delete your account directly from Telegram's official deactivation page:

Open the deactivation page

Go to my.telegram.org/auth?to=delete.

Enter your phone number

Sign in with the phone number linked to your account and the confirmation code Telegram sends you in the app.

Delete the account

Choose Delete Account and confirm. This permanently deletes your Telegram account and all associated data.

What gets deleted

Removing data stored on your device

Separately from your account, DogiGram keeps local settings and cached media on your phone. To remove these:

Note: clearing local data or uninstalling the app does not delete your Telegram account — use Option A or B above for that.
